McDonald's Does BACON in a Big Way - A Review

Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese,
pickles, onions – on a sesame seed bun and now with BACON!
I  don't have  anything good or bad to say about McDonald's as a general rule. It does seem that they try to get away with as little quality and innovation as the market will bear. That said, today's fast food market in the U.S. is driven by McDonald's! They could use this power for good, and now they have! They are offering BACON on several dishes including their flagship BIG MAC®. They also have a Quarter Pounder® with Bacon and Cheesy Bacon fries.

As anyone who knows me can attest, I like bacon. I have tried bacon gum, bacon toothpicks, bacon toothpast, bacon floss...I have a bacon necktie and a shirt with a bacon slogan on it. I have tried it on many dishes but until now, never on a Big Mac®. It was lunchtime and I was passing a local McDonald's so I thought it was a great way to buy and try their newest offering. Pictured at right is a comparison with mine on the left side and theirs, (as pictured on their website), on the right. I don't think any restaurant can claim their food tastes as good as they MAKE it look, so I am always willing to TASTE it and decide. I may be at a bit of a disadvantage since the Big Mac® has never been my favorite burger at McDonald's, but when I worked at Wal-Mart, you could smell the bacon cooking as it wafted through the vents.
Let's begin:

The Big Mac® Bacon: This was a good burger! The bacon made it better and I don't have anything bad to say. They actually put a fair amount of bacon on each burger and though I would like more, that's my problem. I would recommend they make this a permanent menu item!

The Cheesy Bacon Fries: Normally, I like fries at McDonald's. These were NOT good! The bacon was okay, but the cheese was HORRIBLE! It was worse than any canned cheese I have ever tasted. Next time I might say "Cheesy Bacon Fries please...hold the cheese!" No. I will never order these again.
As always, McDonald's knows how to cross promote. Left is a clip of the bag my food came in. I have yet to try the Quarter Pounder® with Bacon, but I am sure it will be good too. Funny thing, the Quarter Pounder is Daughter #1's favorite, but she doesn't much care for bacon (we're still awaiting the DNA test because she might not be related😊)

Try the Big Mac® Bacon! DO NOT TRY THE CHEESY BACON FRIES!!!

Earl Eats Wendy's Giant Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger Meal - A Review

It seems to me that when I see an ad for a new food product, I take it as a challenge! I don't know why but I want to compare and contrast whatever they are offering with their prior offers or similar offerings from their competition. This post is no different. Wendy's advertised a limited time offering of a GIANT Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, I had to give it a go. The pictures on the left show mine on the top with a side view. And below the picture Wendy's has. I am no food stylist, but you can see the difference. This combo is only $5 and includes 4 chicken nuggets, a small fry, the Giant Jr. and a drink. My break down is $1 for the fries, $1 for 4 nuggets $1 for a small drink, making the Giant Jr. $2.

Results & Conclusions:
First let me say that I will buy this again if the limited time isn't too limited. Next let me tell you that the Wendy's original JBC has always been one of my favorite bargain burgers because, well, BACON! And while this did not look like the advertised burger, it was good and relatively tasty!. You can get bigger drinks at other fast food places and you can get 10 nuggets for a buck at Burger King, though Wendy's are the second best (the best being Chick-Fil-A), and fries are, well fries.

When compared to the other $5 combos out there, this is at the top of the pile and blows away Taco Bell's $5 offerings. If you like Wendy's burgers, you should try this.

One of the things I like about this burger is that it has leaf lettuce and a nice slice of tomato. Their meat is never frozen and I think that shows, mostly in the texture. They say it is twice the beef and twice the bacon, and it tastes like it!!

Wednesday

Earl Eats Beyond - Way Beyond!

For my first post of the year, I never expected this! Let me clarify that this is NOT a move toward a vegan or vegetarian way of life. In my household we are meatatarian all the way, but events came together and voilà! I found myself eating a meatless burger at a fast food joint!
Let me explain the events that created this collision.
We had a family wedding reception to attend and didn't have time to eat beforehand. Just as we left, the weekly load of junk-mail arrived and I noticed something strange...Carl's Jr. is now offering MEATLESS burgers! I put that tidbit of knowledge in the back of my mind and we went to the reception. At the reception we could have loaded up on pastries and punch, but I decide we should stop somewhere on the way home to get a burger. There was a Carl's Jr. en route, and I decided I wanted to try their meatless marvel. They call it the "Beyond Meat Famous Star". It isn't cheap at $6.50 for the burger alone, but I decide to give it a try, and was I ever surprised! It looked like a burger, had all the condiments of a burger and even the almost melted slice of American cheese was there! (Yeah, I know that part isn't vegan, so sue me...or leave it off). Now for the tests...taste and texture. The taste was much like every fast food burger and surprisingly beefy for a no-meat burger. The texture was a bit off, but I don't think I would have noticed if I hadn't know it wasn't beef. It had a graininess to it, but better than most dollar burger offerings. It does have a bit of a preformed look to it but no worse than most fast food burgers.

And now the nutrition numbers. I normally don't post this kind of info because normally I don't care. But I thought I it was interesting on TWO points. The numbers are almost identical except for #1-Iron The Beyond has more than DOUBLE the iron of the beef #2-Cholesterol, the Beyond has NONE

I should note for anyone who might be vegan, that the Beyond Burger Patty is certified VEGAN, but the Carl's Jr. burger is NOT. It is prepared with mayonnaise (eggs) and is not produced in a vegan facility, something I didn't know was even a thing! Of course the American cheese makes it non-vegan too, although the jury is still out on whether their is really dairy in many of those slices😏.

You can now buy the patties in most large supermarket chains. The plant protein comes from peas, which was a surprise because, as I stated earlier, I have never cared about alternate sources of protein because I am perfectly happy with eating chicken, pork, and beef in all of their forms.
In Conclusion:
Go try this! It is tasty and filling. I won't be replacing burgers with it anytime soon, but a surprise is always welcome! Next time I may try it without cheese and add sliced avocado instead!

Earl Eats Two Fast Food Bacon Burgers - A Review

It may seem unfair to compare a premium burger from McDonald's to a Junior offering from Burger King. But on this day, that's what I set-out to do...The Flame Grilled Bacon King Jr. from Burger King vs. the Bacon Smokehouse Burger from McDonald's. Both are similar in their descriptions but very different in their price points. How do they stack up, and which one is the Best Burger Bargain.

Let's start at Burger King: they describe their BACON KING™ Jr. as a "smaller package, same BIG taste. Two flame–grilled 100% beef patties topped with thick-cut smoked bacon, melted American cheese, ketchup and creamy mayonnaise on a toasted sesame seed bun."

McDonald's describes their Bacon Smokehouse Burger as "A burger made with unexpected flavor combinations, including crispy Applewood smoked bacon, smoky bacon-onion sauce, real white cheddar(sharp), mild sweet mustard sauce and in-house fried onion strings. With a 100% fresh beef 1/4 lb. patty that’s hotter, juicier and cooked when you order. Served on an artisan roll.

I liked both of these burgers very much. The BACON KING™ Jr. from Burger King had 2 patties while the Bacon Smokehouse had just the one, but it is a quarter pound patty. I have always liked the flavor of Burger Kings Flame Grilled patties, although a good friend of mine is just the opposite. The bacon was good on both too. The sharp white cheddar on the McDonald's offering was a pleasant addition but 2 slices of American from BK was good too. McDonald's "artisan bun" was nice and soft but the BACON KING™ Jr.'s bun was nicely toasted with the traditional sesame seeds.

I do like the addition of fried onion rings on the McDonald's burger as well as their bacon-onion sauce. I also like the creamy mayonnaise BK ads to theirs. I don't think the ketchup added to the  Burger King sandwich was necessary since it tends to cover up the flavor of the beef, but the mustard sauce on the McDonald's burger added a light tang without covering the beef flavor.

Results & Conclusions

As mentioned earlier, I liked both of these burgers. It seems like McDonald's is really trying to improve their fare. The Burger King sandwich is not really anything new, but is re-imagined and slightly downsized. If I were judging on simply which is best, McDonald's Bacon Smokehouse Burger wins. The fried onion rings,  sharp, white cheese and condiments won the day. However...
Burger King's is the best VALUE, by far! The McDonald's was nearly $6 for the sandwich alone. Burger King's price was around $3. Is it as good? NO! Is it good? YES!

Earl Reviews Carl's Jr. - Taking My Mouth To Memphis...MAYBE - A Review

Carl's Jr.™ has a storied past in our neck of the woods. A few years ago, Carl's Jr., a west coast success story, effected a purchase/merger of the bigger east coast chain by the name of Hardee's®. How does that have anything to do with my area, one might ask? Well, a few years earlier, Hardee's took over an institution here in Utah, Dee's Hamburgers, famous for CHEAP burgers and lots of locations...oh and their animated clowns on their sign. So Dee's became Hardee's and then Hardee's became Carl's Jr. here.

There are still remnants of Dee's in the form of their Denny's style family dining restaurants around the valley. The bright clown is gone, as are the nickle burgers. But the story doesn't end there. My beloved aunt was outraged when Carl's Jr. began to advertise their Six Dollar Burger. She exclaimed that she would NEVER pay for a Six Dollar Burger at a fast food place through a drive through. What she didn't know was that the Six Dollar burger was actually a six dollar value, for under four dollars at the time. Enough of the storied past, now for the review.

My errands today took me near a Carl's Jr. and my eyes went to their ThickBurger® menu offerings, particularly the Memphis Barbecue. I ordered the single patty version. My photo to the left shows their ad inviting us to take our mouths to Memphis, and as you can see, I did! Mine didn't quite look like their ad. As I unwrapped mine, for some reason the bun had a cut in it. Very shallow and very strange. As I removed the top bun you could see the components: A ground beef patty, American cheese slice, fried onion slices and BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was just right, but I don't know why this is a Memphis BBQ ThickBurger® . It was definitely a burger, but it was not thick, and didn't have any discernible BBQ except for the little bit of sauce, which was good, but not what I felt was advertised. Let me show you in the next photo

Their Ad (Top) As Delivered (Bottom)

While it tasted fine, it was not what one would expect based on the photos and description. It was supposed to include pulled pork and if there was any it was so small it couldn't be seen or tasted. The price was about $5 bucks, which would have been a great price if it looked like the ad, but it looks more like a McDouble, only it's not double. I hope it was just the location I visited. I will have to try another and see what I get.

By The Numbers:
Service: ⭐(Drive Up Was Quite Slow)
Food:   ⭐ (Tasty but disappointing)
Price: 💲💲💲💲 (Expensive for what I got)

Earl Eats Wendy's Four for $4 - A Review

I don't often go to Wendy's. During the day I am not often out eating fast food lunches, and for dinner, we don't eat much fast food, and my wife (a.k.a. "Turkey") doesn't much care for Wendy's. But today I was on a shopping marathon and passed a Wendy's and thought I would try their Four for $4 offering.

I have always felt that Wendy's tries to be on the higher end of fast food, and they do have some elaborate menu offerings, but today I was going for the value. And how often do I get to post Four 3 ways! I chose their Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger for my 444. It comes with a small fry, small drink and 4 piece chicken nugget.
This is more like what mine looked like. Flatter
and a paper cup rather than a Coke® glass.

I find Wendy's nuggets to be better than some, but I am not a nugget fan. They have good fries, although I am not a frequent fry eater and they didn't offer fry sauce, which is a requirement for the best fries.
Their Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger is the best of the value burgers and includes a tomato slice and lettuce that is NOT shredded, the only way lettuce should be included on a burger. For review purposes, I try not to make requests so my burger will be like the burger you have there.

Conclusion
For $4, this 4 for $4 is good! A bacon cheeseburger with beef that has never been frozen, a drink, fries and chicken nuggets. This is exactly as advertised (except for the pictures). I look at it this way, 2 dollars for the burger, and one dollar each for the nuggets and fries. I think the drink is more an enticement, because you can get a LARGE drink anywhere for a buck and this is a small drink. The star of the meal is the burger which is satisfying, and better than most value burgers. The nuggets and fries round it out and make it feel like a meal. The lettuce and the tomato are much better than other fast food places and add a fresh element.  It is a good value and a good option for a fast food meal.

Earl & "Turkey" & Applebee's Anniversary Eats

Some time ago the restaurant chain that served our favorite burger, Applebee's, started closing restaurants near us. For a time, it was our favorite date night destination. Then,  as often happens, the nearest wasn't near at all. We tried several other places, to no avail. None could do it for us. Some did it for me, but none for both of us. We particularly liked an appetizer offering, but that left their menu before they started closing their doors. I think that was the key. Not just a good burger, but a good meal. They also had a hand cut potato chip that was great, which they also dropped.

Traditionally we eat out for our anniversary, so this year I was determined to make the drive and get us the meal we remembered. Three Applebee's in our vicinity had closed, including the original Utah location. But I found one that was not too far, and planned our anniversary dinner for there. I know this does not seem like a fancy anniversary dinner place, but we were both excited to reacquaint ourselves with the experiences we enjoyed so much.

We felt at ease when we walked in, and even better when we got down to the menu. The appetizer we liked was still not there, but my wife landed on one that sounded real good, their Grilled Chicken Wonton Tacos. We split this because it comes with four small tacos. This is DELICIOUS! It has a Thai-inspired slaw with crispy wonton wrappers and grilled chicken. This is our new favorite.

My wife had the Hand-Battered Fish & Chips which must have been good because she took the leftovers to have for lunch at work, but I didn't get to taste it. It comes with what they call their "signature" coleslaw and their fries, plus an ample supply of fresh lemon wedges. My wife let me know that everything, including most of the fries, reheated well for her lunch. Me? I try to never reheat fried foods. I'm glad she enjoyed it twice. It is a bit on the pricey side but well worth it, according to her.
And now for the reason I wanted to go back...my favorite burger. They call it their Triple Bacon Burger but that doesn't do it justice. It is a beef patty that they sear bacon into as it cooks, top with cheddar cheese (not American), then top that with a BBQ Bacon Ranch dressing and top that with two more slices of perfectly crisp bacon and the whole thing is between a toasted Brioche Bun. It is served with their classic fries. Maybe absence made my taste buds grow fonder, but I have missed this bite. As luck would have it, on Sunday and Monday burgers are  $4 dollars less than Tuesday through Saturday, I think to entice the football crowd, but football season is well over, but I didn't mention that in (case they didn'y know)!

To top the night off we each had their Hot Fudge Dessert Shooter, with me having Hot fudge, and "Turkey" having a mix of Hot Fudge and Hot Caramel. It is vanilla ice cream with hot fudge topped with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. It was the perfect size to complete the meal. Since we had mentioned it was our anniversary (hint: always mention if it is a special occasion when you eat out), we got our dessert FREE !

Overall
We have missed this place and they did not disappoint. Our server was young and maybe new, but very courteous and helpful. When my wife asked for some lemon for her water, she brought out a ramekin filled with freshly cut lemon slices. Although it was a bit of a drive, I think we will be going back often. It seems we have renewed an old acquaintance!

Earl & "Turkey" try A&W's Tuesday Combo Meal...We Should Have Had the Pot Pie

You may remember, as I do, going to your local A&W drive-in for a frosty mug of their root beer, or even filling up a glass jug with the same, because your local A&W was not very close, but their root beer was more like frosty nectar. Well, I am happy to report that their root beer is still great, if their other offerings are, well, sad.
I took my wife there for their Tuesday Special, a Papa Burger Combo. It was buy one, get one free, which seems like it would be a good deal...it's not.
Let me say from the get go, that in our neck of the woods, all A&Ws are in a KFC, not stand alone—Strike 1, but I can live with that. The combo costs around SEVEN BUCKS. A bit much for a double cheeseburger with fries and a drink, but that's okay, we get one free, right. It is free, but it is not okay. Where do I start...
From the beginning. We walked in and nobody helped us for what seem a long time. There were several customers waiting for their orders, but none EATING. A bad omen? When someone finally noticed we were there, they didn't say "be right with you or welcome, they just finished what they were doing and then came out. But life goes on, so we ordered. I also saw that they had POUTINE, something that seems to be the rage these days and I wanted to try it. A big mistake.
Because of some upcoming tests, my wife couldn't have raw veggies on hers, which is one of the biggest reasons she eats fast food burgers. As my graphic shows, the Papa burger looked nothing like the advertised picture, and without veggies, it was basically a McDouble, with an extra slice of cheese. But the problems only started there. The fries were almost INEDIBLE. Dry and crunchy but not crispy. And the same goes for the fries in the poutine. The gravy on the poutine obviously came from a powder and my wife commented that she could not taste the flavor of the cheese curds which were advertised as Wisconsin White Cheddar.

Results
What we ended up with were 2  not-very-good-burgers for the price of 2 pub-style burgers at Red Robin, which includes bottomless fries. The root beer is still awesome!

They still offer glass jugs or frosty mugs, go for that or a nice root beer float. Or go get a Chicken Pot Pie, since you are in a KFC and that is the only thing we ever buy there anymore!

Earl Eats Lunch with the Grandboys at Black Bear Diner

I have reviewed the food at Black Bear Diner in prior posts, but today was a special occasion. My oldest grandboy wanted to grab some lunch and I am always up for time with my Grandboys, so we went to the Black Bear near his home. He had never been, so it seemed the stars were aligning for a good lunch. But wait...right after ordering, my grandboy #2 was looking for Grandboy #1. We were able to make it a trio and we all tried basically the same burger! The real problem was they both remove ALL the veggies from theirs! Pickles, tomatoes, lettuce GONE. They didn't get THAT from me!

I ordered the Classic Burger Basket, which came with a lovely burger and fries in a plastic diner basket. The boys ordered the same basic burger on a nice plate with an additional side dish. Then we each added an over-easy egg to the burgers, which made it very, very good. The fries were nice and crisp and we all ate our full portions. The burger was dressed nicely. If I had a negative comment, it would be that it was a bit on the pricey side for a burger and fries lunch, but we went dutch, and the grandboys didn't complain, so I guess it was worth it.

Earl Eats with "Turkey" at Red Robin and We Both "Pig Out"

Our favorite place to have a 'burger night' is closed. It was the Applebee's near us. In search of another sit-down, dine-in restaurant that serves a good burger that isn't way out of our price range, I thought we would try Red Robin. It isn't close to home, but is on the way home from my wife's workplace...sort of.

Over the years we have eaten there only a couple of times, and those were not memorable enough to bring us back, but they are offering their $6.99 Tavern Line-up with bottomless steak fries right now so it seemed like a good time to go back.

My wife gets off work kinda early, (I felt like I was early enough for senior dining), but at least the parking lot was fairly empty! They had remodeled since we last ate there, and I liked the style. I was greeted by two young ladies who were happy to see a warm body and took me to a secluded table (all the tables were secluded!) though a work Christmas group of 8 to 10 people were seated near me almost as I arrived. Our server was very nice and attentive, and promptly offered a drink while I waited for "Turkey" to arrive.

Above:Their Advertised. Below:Our Reality
There were 4 or 5 offerings from their Tavern line-up of burgers, and a couple more for only 50 cents more. We both ended up wanting the same burger—their "Pig Out" Tavern Double. To quote from their menu "A bacon lover's dream—hardwood-smoked bacon with creamy smoked-bacon sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and American cheese. It's bacon and more bacon." It didn't quite live up to it's hype though. The image here shows the picture from their menu and the reality, but I don't care that it is as tall. How did it taste?
—The patties were nicely cooked and had a great flavor.
—The bacon was almost non-existent. I had almost forgotten it came with bacon. I had to check to see if they forgot it.
—And the creamy smoked bacon sauce was just a sauce. No discernible bacon flavor.
—The Lettuce was great! It was a curly edged green lettuce in a full leaf that didn't overpower, but added a nice freshness that that is often missing.
—The cheese was fine. It was properly melted American.
—The steak fries were a BIG disappointment. Lukewarm and limp we both thought they may have been under a heat lamp for some time. They are bottomless, but we had no desire to ask for more. They do come with a fry sauce. It was okay. BBQ Sauce & Mayo is my guess. However, after trying it, my wife made her own.

Conclusion:
The best thing I can say about this is I feel we got what we paid for. We will probably try it again, but it may not become a regular stop. Too bad. I wanted it to.

Rating: ★★★✰✰

Earl Eats at The Habit Burger Grill

Hungry for a burger we visited the nearby Habit in South Jordan, I had eaten there a couple of times before and found them to be good, but it had been quite awhile. They pride themselves on the fact that their burger is charbroiled, which I like, but so does Burger King.
The staff was very good and the atmosphere is fine. The parking lot is a JOKE however. The traffic in the shopping center was impossible to navigate and we parked so far away it seemed like we walked there!
The Habit's Advertised burger vs. Reality
  • Burger 🍔🍔🍔🍔(my wife said hers was slightly under-cooked)
  • Lettuce-shredded(yuck for me)
  • Bun🍔🍔
  • Price$$($3.75)
I would definitely try their Tempura green beans again...and again!

Summary
I would go back and liked the burger I was served, but probably won't because my wife's was undercooked for her taste...happy wife, happy life!

Thursday

Earl Eats at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

As so often happens, I was on my way to discover somewhere else, and got a bonus discovery! I had never eaten or even heard of them, in fact I thought it might be a gas station of a similar name or a car wash, also the same name. With steakburgers prominently displayed in the the name I thought I should give them a try. As I pulled up to the drive-through, I almost gave them a pass because it was quite busy even though it was past the lunch hour, but as I watched the line moved quickly so decided to go ahead and try it. And the line moved very quickly.

I wanted a Steakburger, but my approach trying someplace new is order their basics. Their menu says they serve Vienna Beef  hot dogs and they use what has become known as the "Top Slice" or "New England" style bun often associated with lobster rolls, so I ordered their Chicago Style Hot Dog and to try their burger, I ordered their basic.  I also ordered fries and a drink. They serve Pepsi Products, but not a great selection. Their fries are like shoestring potatoes almost but they do offer fry sauce!

Their burger was not as good as I paid for so that is a negative.

Freddy's #4 Combo

Conclusion

Their Hot dog was okay with a nicely toasted bun but when compared to their competition, not as good as other Chicago Dogs at fast food restaurants. The help was courteous and friendly and as mentioned, the line moved rather well. I won't be trying these 2 items there again, so next time, it will be their steakburger, if there is a next time.

Wednesday

Earl Eats "The Hog Burger" at Britton's Restaurant in Sandy

Britton's Hog Burger
The last time I went to lunch with one of my grandboys, we went to Britton's in Sandy, UT. I had the Louisiana Heart attack and loved it. Today, my other grandboy and I went back to Britton's. I showed him the menu description of the Louisiana Heart Attack and he wanted to order that for himself. But he pointed out to me something I had missed on my previous visit...The Hog Burger! Here is their description:
-Hog Burger-Two Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, One with Bacon, One with Tomatoes, with a Burger and Grilled Onions Stuffed in between
How could I go wrong! I love EVERY SINGLE COMPONENT. Again it is:
  • Grilled Cheese
  • Bacon (It gave the whole sandwich a rich smokiness)
  • Tomatoes
  • Burger
  • Grilled Onions
  • Fries with their own Fry Sauce
Everything was done to perfection, even the server who was wearing a tiara because it was his birthday.

Conclusion
I couldn't finish it, but not for lack of trying. It was just fries I had to leave behind, but only a few. Go try this all you who love Burgers, Grilled Cheese, Bacon & Tomatoes!

Britton's Louisiana Heart Attack w/Veggies Removed (kids!)

Thursday

Sonic's Cheeseburger

Sonic® Cheeseburger

Tried Sonic's Cheeseburger today and it was pretty much as advertised, which made me ask "Why Advertise this?"

This is exactly what their site advertises, but I was still disappointed. The first thing I noticed was that it is more expensive than othe competing national chains cheeseburger. It had some things I don't care for in a burger. The patty was nicely seasoned, but  the lettuce is shredded, a bit of a pet peeve of mine. In addition the patty was not HOT. The pickles were crisp and plentiful, if picles are your thing. I like them so I consider that a minor plus. The American cheese slice was the same as most other chains, and not melted.

Friday

Earl & "Turkey" Eat Crown Burgers - A Review

No automatic alt text available.Went Crown Burger tonight...it was great! I Had the Crown Burger,  and "Turkey" (a.k.a. my wife) had the Crown Burger Jr.

The burger was tasty but the pastrami was awesome! They use shredded lettuce, which I don't think is right for hamburgers, but several have told me they like their lettuce shredded.

It's in the higher mid-range but worth every penny!

By the numbers:
Burger: 🍔🍔🍔🍔(would have been 5 with better lettuce).
Cheese: 🧀🧀(American)
Price:$$$$ (a bit pricey but matches the taste & quality

Conclusion:
Our burgers didn't need anything else, there was ample food! In fact Laurie could only get through half of her Jr...so I sacrificed!

Tuesday

Winger's "Fowl Cow" Burger (it's a meal really)

Fowl Cow Burger at Winger's
I Went with my Grandsons to Wingers' this afternoon to try their new Burgers. THEY ARE THE BEST WE HAVE EVER TASTED!
Fowl Cow Burger (a House Specialty) is Fresh ground chuck, a juicy chicken breast, sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheese, mayo, applewood smoked bacon, and topped with a fried egg! The Porker (Burger, Pork, Bacon, Cheddar) was very good too, but Fowl Cow...Freaking Amazing!

Wednesday

Applebees All In Triple Bacon Burger

Had the Triple Bacon, All In Burger at Applebee's last night...it was great.
Bacon cooked in the burger,
bacon ON the burger and bacon-aoli dressing!
