Earl Eats Arby's Texas Brisket

The other day I ventured into Arby's to try their "Texas Brisket", available only for a "Limited Time", one of their "Legend" sandwiches. Since early childhood I have liked Arby's and my Grandboys LOVE it. I always felt I was getting something more restaurant-y when I ate there, though now I know some of their practices, I am less impressed, but still, their food seemed better than standard fast food.
Their ad blurb is as follows:

Texas Style BBQ Sauce
Crispy Onion Strings
Smoked Brisket
Dill Pickle Slices
Texas Toast

They make their toast thicker in Texas. They smoke their brisket longer. Then they add crispy onion strings, pickles, and BBQ sauce for the perfect Brisket sandwich. And by “they,” we mean Arby’s.

Let me start by saying I was quite disappointed. The BBQ sauce was nothing special, the crispy onion rings weren't crispy, and almost non-existent. The smoked brisket was good. I have always enjoyed their brisket. The dill pickle slices were limp and unimpressive and the Texas Toast seemed like regular toast except it was limp.
By the numbers:
Price 💲💲💲💲(over priced)
Taste ☆ (not as pictured or advertised...or even close)

I look forward to trying the Cuban. Maybe they can redeem themselves, and my wife and I often eat their Reuben, another of their "Legend" series of sandwiches.
